DESCRIPTION:PCCA’s annual Holiday Art Market brings local artists and art lovers together this holiday season \nAs the winter holidays approach\, many of us find ourselves looking for unique items to gift to our loved ones. This year\, consider supporting local artists and small businesses by shopping PCCA’s annual Holiday Art Market. \nLocated in downtown Rochester\, Michigan\, the Art Market features original artwork from over 40 artists year-round. During the Holiday Art Market\, that number is expanded to 55-60 artists\, providing almost 2\,000 handmade and original items for shoppers to choose from. From paintings and photography to jewelry and pottery\, and everything in between\, there is something for everyone on your holiday shopping list. \nIn addition to the one-of-a-kind gift shopping potential\, the 2023 Holiday Art Market will be opening in tandem with PCCA’s annual Student & Faculty exhibition. The Student & Faculty exhibit takes place in PCCA’s gallery\, which occupies almost the entire second floor of our historic building. Complete with music\, twinkling lights\, refreshments and the chance to meet and mingle\, the two events make a perfect pair. \nMark your calendars for the opening reception Friday\, November 11th from 4-7pm. Admission to both events is free and open to the public. \nShopping the Holiday Art Market means investing in our community and helping to keep the arts alive and prosperous in Michigan. Every purchase helps to support Michigan artists from across the state and PCCA\, a 501c3 nonprofit.

DESCRIPTION:The annual Student & Faculty exhibition will return to the gallery at Paint Creek Center for the Arts with an opening reception on November 11\, 2023. \nHeld each year\, the Student & Faculty exhibition highlights the work of current students of all ages and PCCA’s talented teaching faculty. \nWith no set theme\, the goal of the exhibit is to showcase the progress and dedication to creative learning by members of our Art Education department and their student artists. The only stipulations for submission is that the work must have been made as part of PCCA’s educational programming and cannot have been show in an exhibit at PCCA previously. This beloved exhibit typically includes more than than sixty pieces in a broad variety of mediums from over fifty different artists. \nThis year\, the Student & Faculty exhibit will open alongside the opening of the retail Holiday Art Market\, located on the main floor. Together\, the two events are anticipated to bring over 200 artists and art lovers into PCCA’s historic building to kick-off the holiday season in style.
