This year the Holiday Art Market returns for it’s opening reception and silent auction on Friday\, November 11th from 5-8pm. The Holiday Art Market will continue through Saturday\, December 17th during PCCA’s regular business hours. \nNew to the Holiday Art Market? This special retail experience offers unique\, handcrafted gifts great for every budget created by Michigan artisans! \nAre you a Michigan-based maker? We are currently looking for artists to participate in our Holiday Art Market and share their original work with shoppers this holiday season. \nDEADLINE TO SUBMIT YOUR WORK: Sunday\, October 9th by 11:59 P.M. \nTo be considered for the Holiday Art Market\, artists must complete a full application through the link below. Incomplete submissions will not be considered. PCCA will not accept work submitted in any other way. Please read our guidelines and information below before submitting. \nGUIDELINES AND INFORMATION: \n\nOpen to Michigan artists\, ages 18+.\nAll entries must be original hand-crafted work\, designed and executed by the accepted artist. No kit work or commercial reproductions of any kind are allowed.\nWork should be priced within a $1 – $300 range\, and be of a holiday or winter seasonal theme to fit within the market. Artists creating work for sale at a higher price point are welcome to submit an application for inclusion\, but acceptance will be handled on a case-by-case basis.\nEntries must be delivered to PCCA ready to display.\nPCCA reserves the right to reject any entry which is unsuitable in size or fragility\, does not meet the guidelines specified or is not representative of the work selected. PCCA reserves the right to control artist inventory for an appropriate mix of work.\nPCCA reserves the right to photograph work on display for use in promotions of the Holiday Art Market and for future promotional materials for PCCA.\nArtist is responsible for bringing/shipping work to PCCA and retrieving/shipping from PCCA (if work does not sell). Please note: there is a $100 administrative shipping fee to prep and return artwork via mail on top of any shipping costs and postage if it is not provided to PCCA upon arrival of artwork.\n\nPCCA retains a commission on all sales to cover the cost of overhead\, credit card fees\, sales tax\, insurance\, and staffing for the Holiday Art Market. The commission rate is based on membership status with PCCA. Members receive 70% retail sale price\, while Non-Members receive 60%. Membership is available for as little as $30 per 365-day period and is considered a tax-deductible donation to PCCA. For more information about our Membership program\, please click here. \nSALES TAX: PCCA collects\, reports\, and pays all sales tax. A Michigan w9 form must be completed for any artist participating in the Holiday Art Market and will be included in your acceptance packet. \nHoliday Art Market Timeline: \nSunday\, October 9\, 2022: Deadline to submit work. There is no fee to submit work. \nFriday\, October 21\, 2022: Artist acceptance will be emailed. If your work is selected\, you will receive an official acceptance letter\, vendor contract\, inventory sheet(s)\, Michigan w9 and a link to sign-up for a drop-off time. Completed paperwork is due at the time of artwork drop-off. Due to the number of applications we receive each year\, we may not be able to notify artists who are not invited to participate. \nSaturday\, November 5\, 2022: All artwork is due. \nNovember 11 – December 17\, 2022: The 2022 Holiday Art Market is open \nDecember 18\, 2022 – January 2\, 2023: PCCA closed for Winter Break. \nFriday\, January 6 – Saturday\, January 14\, 2023: ART PICK UP. If you are not able to retrieve your unsold work during this time\, a representative may be allowed to pick up your work- please contact PCCA in advance. Unfortunately\, due to limited storage space in the PCCA building\, any work that is not picked up by the January 14 deadline may be considered “abandoned” unless an alternate pick-up date/time is scheduled with PCCA prior to the deadline.

DESCRIPTION:2022 Art & Apples Festival® Hours\nFriday\, September 9: 2:00 p.m. – 7:30 p.m.\nSaturday\, September 10: 9:00 a.m. – 7:30 p.m.\nSunday\, September 11: 9:00 a.m. – 4:00 p.m. \n\nFor more than 55 years\, the Art & Apples Festival® has transformed the 30-acre Rochester Municipal Park into one of the nation’s top fine art fairs bringing together over 200 art exhibitors\, a wide range of food trucks and tents\, live entertainment\, and art activity stations across the three-day weekend.\nThe Art & Apples Festival® is a program of Paint Creek Center for the Arts- a regional\, nonprofit art center located in downtown Rochester\, Michigan- and is the arts organization’s annual fundraiser. \nPCCA works year-round to advance its mission celebrate and support creativity in our community by providing opportunities for all to learn\, create\, experience\, and appreciate the arts. \nYou are invited to experience everything the festival has to offer; from the artwork of our talented artists\, the sights and sounds of the Main Stage; to the fresh apple treats and mouth-watering food vendors found around the park\, and the creative experiences of the Kids Art Zone and Creation Station- there is something for everyone at the Art & Apples Festival®. \nShuttle & Parking \nShuttle bus to the festival and free parking available on Saturday (9am – 8pm) and Sunday (9am – 4:30pm) from Rochester High School (14361 Walton Blvd.) \nPaid parking is available in the “West Parking Platform” at 406-414 Walnut Blvd and in the “East Parking Platform” at 415 East St.\, both in downtown Rochester. Additional paid parking may be available at any of the metered spaces or in private lots around the park. Please note that PCCA is not associated with any parking lots other than the Rochester High School shuttle lot. \nEntry Fee \n$5 donation per person\, per day\, is suggested. This is a tax-deductible donation- please ask for a receipt at the gate. Funds are distributed between other volunteering nonprofit organizations (Gate Groups) and Paint Creek Center for the Arts to help provide for year-round programming. \nPets in the Park \nWe get it- everything in life is better with your pets. But\, we also know that throwing a festival means 60\,000+ visitors on foot\, 300+ vendors trying to sell their work\, and big vehicles on narrow walkways with limited visibility. While leashed dogs are normally allowed in Rochester Municipal Park\, they are not allowed during special events such as the Art & Apples Festival per city ordinance. Please leave Fifi and Fido at home where they can relax in a safe\, quiet and comfortable environment.
