ROCHESTER, Mich., Mar. 3, 2026— Paint Creek Center for the Arts (PCCA) has added a new member to their Board of Directors. Mark Albrecht, the Principal and Senior Human Resources Consultant of MJA HR Consulting, has been an active member in the Rochester community and is a welcome addition to the non-profit art center’s board.
Albrecht served as a council member for the city of Rochester from 2019 to 2023 and has over 30 years of executive leadership experience in human resources, operations with retail, consumer packaged goods, and professional services companies including Lord & Taylor and Orlans. His educational background includes a master’s degree in strategic leadership from Walsh College and a dual bachelor’s degree in human resources and psychology from Michigan State University. His current role with MJA HR Consulting provides human resource support to companies of all sizes, with the goal of “delivering people solutions that drive positive culture and bottom-line results.”
His commitment to providing innovative HR solutions has earned Albrecht numerous certifications and awards, including the Association of Fundraising Professionals’ Distinguished Volunteer Award in 2018 and Entrepreneur of the Year from the Rochester Regional Chamber of Commerce in 2022. He is a frequent speaker at seminars and conferences around the country, including Michigan HR Day.
Beyond his HR consulting experience, Albrecht is also a member of the Board of Trustees for Meadowbrook Theatre and is the Vice Chair of the Board of Directors for the Detroit Historical Museum. He’s previously served as the Chairman of the Downtown Development Authority for the City of Rochester, the Vice Chairman of Big Brothers Big Sisters of Metropolitan Detroit, and the Michigan Roundtable for Diversity & Inclusion.
PCCA Executive Director Shaun Hayes spoke about Albrecht’s experience and involvement in the community, highlighting his dedication. “Mark has been a regular at PCCA events for many years now. He’s brought a lot to the Rochester community through his time on city council and various boards and committees in the area. He’s very passionate about this community and we welcome him and the enthusiasm that he brings.”
