September 25-26, 2020
As part of Rochester’s September Art Month, our community’s artistic talent will was showcased all around town – including the ground! With the help of some skilled chalk artists, PCCA transformed the Rochester Elevator parking lot into a giant horizontal gallery with community-made chalk drawings large enough to fill the parking spaces. Artwork was completed on the weekend of September 25 -27, 2020. Finished parking spots were entered into a People’s Choice Contest on Paint Creek Center for the Arts’ (PCCA) social media with community voting held online through PCCA’s Facebook. . Prizes included 1st, 2nd, and 3rd place award ribbons and free PCCA workshops.
Rochester’s Parking Lot Picasso was open to all artists, professional or just playing, and all ages.
